Rain rain go away!

We are wrapping up our week of learning about our bodies. Today we did a small group project discovering our fingerprints.

We learned that those swirly lines on our fingertips that we have to look really closely to see are called fingerprints. We learned that they are all different, and no one else has the same fingerprints as us. We stamped our fingerprints and used a magnifying glass to look and see what our fingerprints look like. We spoke in group time about how many things we have on our bodies. How many ears? Two..a pair. Fingers? Toes? Hands? Feet? Teeth? That's was a trick question. One child said four, one said ten, so we know that we may need to have a teeth counting session soon. Maybe during dental health week? Community Helper week? Hmmm...

Today we played with the counting and sorting bears again, and some came up missing. Some friends were eager to go on a "bear hunt" to look for the missing bears. We didn't find them all, but we did find five! :) (Someone found a bear in his pocket!) LOL I know it's going to happen, but if you find any random pieces or toys in your child's belongings throughout the year that seem like it may have come from school, please return them. It could be the one piece we are missing to game that we want to play. I put some doctor dress up items out this week! Gabriel said, "I can hear his brain!"

Ring around the Rosey! We couldn't play outside for long today. The rain was off and on, but we went out for a bit. It was wet and chilly, but we needed to get out some of our rainy day energy! Tomorrow we will finish up our week of focusing on our boy! See you in the morning!
