Hands, Fingers, Feet & Toes

Today was busy, busy, busy! I have been slowly introducing different toys into our centers over the past two weeks. They really like to come in the morning and discover the new items. It keeps it fresh and interesting, and we will rotate them some in and out throughout the year. Today we discovered:
Puppets in dramatic play!
Large stringing beads for fine motor skills!
Dress up clothes for dramatic play!
Counting bears for math skills! Color sorting, counting, patterns and more!
Alphabet tubs In circle time we did the Eric Carle book Head to Toe and we moved our bodies like the characters. We moved our heads like penguins, our necks like giraffes, kicked our legs like donkeys, and more. We have been learning new action songs and other chants, and read more books about our body. Tomorrow afternoon are our assessments. They will be at the Community Christian Fellowship Church on the corner across from the funeral home and the armory. Your child will need to be with you and it should take about 30 minutes.

  1. Looks like another fun day! Our kids sure are lucky to have a teacher that has so much energy and excitement about school! :) Glad you're still loving it now that the "newness" has worn off! ;) Bekah still loves to go to school. We stopped at a friend's house afterschool and Bekah was playing in their yard and came up to me and called me Ms. Beth. ;) Glad she loves you so much! It makes sending the youngest to school SO much easier... ;)
