Today was good. Today was fun. Tomorrow is another one...

This week we celebrated the wild and wacky Dr. Seuss! Today is his birthday, so we spent the week reading his books and learning about rhymes!

We used shaving cream in a Ziplock bag and Dr. Seuss's ABC Book to practice letter witing

Painting stripes! (or patterning practice, if you're a preschool teacher)

We played the Cat in the Hat Game- I put a secret object from our classroom into the hat, and the children draw cards to ask questions about it or get to feel the hat to figure out what is inside. They might get to shake it, feel it with their forehead, or elbows!

Red & white pony beads make great fine motor and patterning practice

Green eggs and ham for lunch!

We used our photos and apples or our fingers to make our own version of 10 Apples Up on Top!

Friday we had the chance to dress crazy when we came to school. It was a day of fun and silliness!

We started with Cat in the Hat inspired pancakes!

Miss Beth had silly hair, and mismatched socks!

Paizley

Bekah as Cindy Lou Hoo

Gracie has crazy hair!

Malachi was upset this morning when mom left, but this Cat in the Hat hat mad him feel better!

This is "OObleck" It's 1 1/2 cups corn starch and 1 cup water. It is super slimy, and a semi-solid when it is in the tub, but when you pick it up it turns into a liquid! Very fun for sensory experience!

Here is our lunch we made together, a Cat in the Hat pizza!

We love the book Pete the Cat Most of the kids "read" it by themselves-they've memorized it!

I asked on Facebook for empty spice jars...this is why!

We had lots of fun with BUBBLES outside this week!

We found a worm, apparently Junior thought it neded to see the bubbles too!

What a BUSY, but great week! We are CLOSED Monday due to my meeting in Little Rock, but we will be back again on Tuesday to start our fun farm unit!
