Last week the children oohed and aahed over my Christmas trees and all their pretty lights. So today we decorated our own preschool tree!
Today we moved on from being healthy to being SAFE. We talked in group time about what we would do in different situations to be safe. These ranged from what to do with matches and lighters, to what to do when we encounter a dog or cat we may not know. I was very impressed that the children had great ideas of what to do in many of the scenarios I mentioned. We have a safe group of kids! :)
We learned two new songs about people that keep us safe, and listened to a Brian Kinder song "Don't Touch That!". When picking our stories to read today, we stuck to Christmas stories... SURPRISE!
Lots of Christmas activites and crafts will be happening in the next few weeks, and don't forget the Christmas dinner on December 19th at 5:30!
