Pumpkins!

This week we had fun with pumpkins and the letter P. We had all sorts of activities this week in our centers that were pumpkins or Jack-O-Lanterns.

Sorting Halloween erasers

Trick or treat buckets in the dramatic play area

Pumpkins, gourds, and squash of all sizes to play with

Jack-o-lantern felt board

We have lots and lots of Halloween books!

We charted things in our classrom room that start with the letter P, then added other words throughout the next week. We also charted what we are planning on dressing up as for Halloween. Lots of super heroes and princesses it seems1 We will have a small Halloween "snack party" on Wednesday. Logan's grandma will be coming to help us decorate cupcakes that we will enjoy at snack time. On Wednesday, your child WILL be allowed to wear their costume. Please send a change of clothes and do not send accessories or all the pieces. "If you're costume has 1,000 pieces, keep 999 of them at home." :)

We carved pumpkins!

We scooped out the insides and roasted the pumpkin seeds for tasting.

We carved the pumpkin and turned it into a Jack-O-Lantern!

We had orange playdough and lots of Halloween cutters.

We made Jack-O-Lanterns for our classroom!

On Friday, I left in the morning to head to Tulsa for my little sister's wedding. Dallas and Britney came to play! They had a great day, and Ms. Dallas sent me these pictures.

She also sent me a video, but I can't get it to upload :(

Looking forward to another great week!

Don't forget the pumpkin patch field trip is Tuesday at 5:00!
