It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like...

Tending to Frank, who had surgery on his ankle. He will be staying home for the next 6 weeks or so. The kids love him. The made him a banner on Monday that says "Get Well Soon Mr. Frank". It is hanging in our bedroom and cheering him up while he heals.

I am lucky that when I am away that I have such great ladies to take my place, though! Ms. Britney and Ms. Dallas saved the day!


Ms. Dallas helped the children to chart all the placed people can live. She looked through the books in our classroom to compare all the places that the characters lived. What a great conversation starter! On Wednesday, Ms. Britney played a game with small groups called "Things in My House". It was a look-and-find game, and helped expand our voabulary and make comparisions among the pictures on the cards.

We read "The Napping House", "In A People House", and other books about homes.
We had a puzzle with different locks to lock and unlock.

We got the dollhouse and characters out!

We began gearing up for Christmas!

We decorated out Christmas tree in our classroom, and made candy cane ornaments to hang on it.

We also did a painting project for an acivity we will finish next week.

We had a great week. The next few weeks for us will be filled with fun activities. We will have a Christmas party December 20th at 7:00 PM at JBU Walton Health Complex. It will be a potluck dessert party, and we will have a few songs to sing for you and a special visitor :)

The following day, December 21st, we will have a Polar Express party at school! We will wear our pajamas, watch the Polar Express, drink hot cocoa, and have special activities all day long. If anyone wants to stay and play with us that day, just let me know!

This will be a great kick off to our Christmas break from December 24-January 4.
